About Us

We are a newly formed group of people who live in or work in or were brought up in West Vale.

We are interested in its develpment, its buildings its amenities and the people who created these. Some of the group have investigated their family history and want to flesh out the bare bones of names and places. Some just like history and the places and characters that its study can reveal. Some are interested in certain aspects of the area such as the Cricket Club or the Railway Line and other transport links.

At our meetings so far, we have looked at old photographs and shared some of our information and interests.

Everyone is welcome at meetings. You don't have to be knowledgable or have any information - just an interest in this fascinating place.
